The City of Bones

       When Clary and her best friend Simon go to a New York night club Clary doesn't expect to witness a murder, especially not one committed by three teenagers covered in tattoos and handling bizarre weapons. When the body just vanishes Clary has more than a few questions.  Clary becomes immersed with the Shadowhunters a group of warriors who force demons from Earth and back to where they came from. When Clary becomes a target her mother disappears and Clary is attacked by a gruesome demon. She begins to question whether she should hang out with a group of demon fighting adolescents. When Clary not only survives, but suddenly gains the ability to see demons and is able to kill the grotesquerie, the Shadowhunters begin to question what she is.
