Rigg has always been able to see the paths of people's past, when Rigg's father dies Rigg learns of the sercrets that he had hid, the truth of his past and his identity. When Rigg discovers that not only does he have the power to see the past, he can change it. His present and future suddenly become malleable and anything can be accomplished. When Rigg realizes the signifigance of his lineage he is thrust into a battle of two factions. One with intentions to get him on the throne, the other plans to murder him. Rigg's path will force him to question who he can trust and push his ability to the limits. This mind-bending, time-travelling epic is admittedly not as good as Ender's Game, but it an interesting story punctuated with confusing ideas about how time works.

Legend
The Republic forces everyone to take an exam that tests the mental and physical abilities of everyone. The applicants who pass get to go to college and join the Republic's government, those who fail are experimented on and put into labor camps. Day failed his exam and was experimented on, but escaped and has been terrorizing the Republic ever since. When Day's little brother Eden contracted a rare variant of the plague Day needs to steal medicine from a hospital. His infiltration does not go as planned and is forced to injure his pursuers, and gets away with only painkillers. June is the Republic's quintessential example of how life should be. She achieved a 100% on her exams and excels at everything she does. June lives only with her brother Metias, who has just been killed by Day. June vows to track down Day and kill him, to take revenge for her last living relative. As June gets to know Day while learning his true identity, she begins to realize his true motives. June's known world falls around her as the Republic's carefully painted illusions dissapear, leaving a barren dictatorship that is experimenting on it's youth and killing any "weaklings".
