When Alex Taylor notices a small sign on the bookshop window "Adventurer's Wanted apply within." Alex is looking for some change in his life and decides to see what this sign is all about. He is swept away into a mysterious and exotic land and becomes the eighth man in a band of adventurers. They have set of to kill the tyrannic dragon Slathbog and take his hoard. Alex's band consists of dwarves, elves and one other human. Alex fights trolls, wraiths and bandits as they seek Slathbog's lair. Reminiscent of The Hobbit this book is a true adventure series filled with magic and combat to satisfy any fantasy readers tastes.
