       For The Win is about online gaming and some people turn virtual gold into real money. For The Win follows a couple of different gamers that are working around the games security to shuttle gold out of severs and into the virtual world where it can easily be sold to any buyers. For The Win follows the virtual movement of labor laws that the Webblies are trying to input so that gold farmers will be able to get fair wages. All over the world people are being paid to destroy an enemies farmers, taking all their loot and weapons. Gamers everywhere begin to rise to help protect gold farmers and attack any opposing armies sent out with the sole intention to destroy enemy business. For The Win displays naked the injustice that some workers suffer because they work on the internet and some people believe this to mean their work is meaningless and has no effect.

Gwendolyn tries to use her witchcraft to force Chrestomanci to appreciate her powers by doing great feats of magic that cripple his gardens and endanger his children. Chrestomanci ignores Gwendolyn until she crosses the line and Chrestomanci takes away her witchcraft as a punishment. Gwendolyn runs away to a parallel world, leaving Cat behind and a replacement Gwendolyn, called Janet gets thrust into Eric's world to balance the sudden exit. Gwendolyn has always controlled Cat, ordering him around and never sparing a thought for him. Since Janet replaced Gwendolyn Eric has seen how a real sister is supposed to act and when Gwendolyn returns he fights back against here witchcraft with a seemingly newly found power.

The series focuses on Tessa an ordinary girl who has recently lost her last living relative, so she boards a ship to London to meet her brother Nathan. Tessa is captured by a pair of sisters by the name of the Dark sisters, who had claimed to be acquaintances of his. Tessa is tortured by the Dark sisters as they try to teach her the power to shape shift, a power only a few are born with. Shadowhunters Will and Jem rescue Tessa while their on the hunt for evidence of The Pandemonian Club's nefarious activities. The Shadowhunters and Tessa infiltrate the Pandemonian Club's leader's home, which also happens to be the den of a violent group of vampires. At the social gathering Tessa is disguised as a vampire and Will is her subjugate, the main event happens to feature Nathan as a source of food and entertainment for the vampires.
